School visits and our ethos enhances the cultural experience
Regular school visits are arranged to places of cultural, historical, geographical and scientific interest as well as to theatres both locally and in London.
French is taught from Nursery to give your child an early taste of a foreign language. Assemblies in French are held and special French days are scheduled in the school calendar.
We want all children to enjoy music and we encourage them to learn to play an instrument and to sing in the School Choir. We offer lessons in drums, guitar, bass guitar, piano, violin, trumpet, clarinet and saxophone.
Drama is one of the most popular activities. The entire school is involved in our annual productions. Past productions include Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Nicholas Nickleby and Narnia.
An active programme of external speakers whose visits are often timed to coincide with major cultural events such as World Book Day are also arranged.
We aim to encourage tolerance, patience and kindness, supplemented by the academic emphasis on Religious Instruction. We celebrate Christian festivals, as well as festivals from a number of other faiths.
