In preparation for our exciting trip to the Mayor’s Parlour in Bromley next Tuesday, and also as part of our PSHE unit on British Values, we have been finding out how local government works in the UK. The responses elicited from the children in paired talk showed that they understood the importance of how local government impacts on every citizen’s life egcollecting waste, education, road maintenance, council tax etc.
