On Thursday 5thJuly Year 6 had a thrilling day along with three of the new entrants to Year 7 for this forthcoming September. Jaela, Katie and Albert joined us for the day and our pupils made them very welcome. They all had an exciting and fun packed day of enrichment activities with teachers from the Senior School, which included Maths with Mrs Khasaf, History with Ms Britton, Business Studies with Mrs Evangelou and Cookery with Mrs Moretti.
Mrs Harries had arranged a special lunch to be served to the children in Heydon Hall and they felt very privileged to have this beautiful room all to themselves!
When asked about their day, this is what they said:
- Micah: “I really enjoyed the whole day. I especially enjoyed History because we became history detectives and did some exciting historical investigation work.”
- Arnav: ‘I really enjoyed Business Studies because we made things out of old bits and pieces. I also loved the Papa John’s pizzas and the Ben and Jerry’s ice cream for lunch. It was yummy!”
- Jake: “The cookery lesson was great because the food we made was better than Gordon Ramsay’s cooking!”
- Timee: “Even the Maths was fun!”
