Lest we Forget

Marking 100 hundred years since the end of World War One, here at Wickham we remembered the fallen in our own special way.
Thank you to Ms Britton, who led a whole school assembly about Armistice Day, the significance of the poppy and some fascinating stories of the men and women who fought for us and their countries. The children were spellbound to hear of the real stories of sacrifice and suffering that so many people went through.
In honour of the fallen, the Senior School students decorated 100 poppies as shown below. On each poppy, you will find two names. One of a soldier who fought and the other is that of a child at Wickham Court. Take the time, to find your poppy and find out who you’ve been matched with. Even more importantly, take some time to research your chosen hero.
