Our teachers are certainly expert in their subjects and disciplines. They are also here because they like children. This is particularly evident in
the encouragement they provide - to think, to question, to debate, even
to take chances. And perhaps most significantly, they encourage our
children to strive. They do this not only by making the classroom an
exciting place but also by being available to provide extra help or
enrichment. No wonder that children at Wickham Court see their
teachers as friends.

Teachers at Wickham also understand that effective learning is not a
one-way street. Rather, it involves a partnership between teacher and student and parent. Communication is therefore vital. During the course of the academic year, our children receive four reports detailing their progress in all areas of education. Each report provides insightful written
comments by the appropriate teachers.

Personal contact is also vital. In addition to an orientation day prior to the beginning of the academic year and a back-to-school night in the first quarter, our teachers hold regularly scheduled parent conferences. Moreover, it is always possible to arrange additional meetings with faculty members and administrators at times particularly convenient for parents.

As educators, we are always there for the children. We are also there for their parents. We think you'll agree that the special quality that is Wickham Court is largely a reflection of our very special faculty.
