ACADEMIC LIFE
Anonymity is frequently the enemy of learning. At Wickham Court, no one is anonymous and all of our students are treated as unique individuals. We know that they have talents and abilities and aspirations. They have promise. It is our job to help them discover and build on that promise.
Small class sizes are essential, and our commitment to each student is reflected in our determination to ensure that no one is ever lost in a Wickham Court classroom. For us, having small classes is not a luxury;
it is an essential for learning to flourish. Our small classes ensure
interaction between teacher and student and between student and peer.
We are also committed to the 'basics.' A thorough grounding in English, social studies, science, mathematics, and foreign languages provides children with the confidence to unlock many doors and thereby to tap their full potential.
Our students explore their creative sides through the study of art, music, and drama, and they also receive instruction in information technology and, when necessary, in English-as-a-Second Language. Physical Education is a regular part of the Wickham Court curriculum.
